1.What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small file a website places on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser between pages and between visits, for example to keep a signed-in session alive. Browser storage works in a similar way: it stores small pieces of information on your own device that our site can read later.

Some cookies last only for the visit (session cookies) and disappear when you close the browser. Others stay for a set period (persistent cookies). Some are set by us and some by the outside services we rely on, such as our payment processor.

2.Cookies and storage we use

• Keeping your cart: the items you add are saved in your own browser's storage so your cart survives a page change or a return visit. This is stored on your device, not in your account, and clearing it empties your cart.
• Signing in and staying signed in: session cookies let you reach your account, orders and return requests without typing your details again on every page.
• Security and fraud prevention: cookies help us tell a real shopper from an automated attack, and help protect checkout from fraudulent orders.
• Remembering your choices: cookies can remember preferences you set on the site, such as dismissing a notice so it does not appear again on every visit.
• Understanding the shop: we use limited analytics to count visits and see which pages and products shoppers use, so we know what to stock, what to describe better and where the site is slow. This information is used in aggregate.

3.Cookies set by our payment provider

Checkout runs on Stripe, our payment processor. When you reach checkout, Stripe sets its own cookies on your device to process the payment securely, prevent fraud and remember your progress through the payment page. Those cookies are set by Stripe, are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie terms, and cannot be switched off while you are using checkout. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe.

4.How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies and stored cart contents stay on your device until they expire or until you clear them. Clearing your browser's cookies and site data removes them all, including your saved cart.

5.Your choices

You can control cookies and browser storage through your browser settings, where you can view what is stored on your device, delete it, and block or restrict cookies for all sites or just for ours. Every major browser offers this in its privacy or security settings, alongside the option to clear browsing data when you close the browser.

If you block cookies and site storage entirely, the shop will still work for browsing, but your cart may empty itself between pages and you will not be able to sign in, check out or track an order. We recommend allowing essential cookies and storage while shopping with us.

Some browsers and extensions send a global privacy control or do-not-track signal. Where the law requires us to honour such a signal, we do; because we do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers, the practical effect on our site is small.

6.Cookies we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or data brokers to follow you around the internet, and we do not sell the information our cookies and storage collect.

7.Changes to this policy

If we add a tool that uses new cookies, we will update this page and the date shown at the top. The version published here is the one that applies.
